Nitrous oxide research featured in the Daily Nexus
We recently contributed to a massive modeling effort of oceanic nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions led by our UCLA friend and colleague Daniele Bianchi and posdoc Simon Yang. We found that seasonality was important for capturing the full picture of marine N2O emissions and was recently published in PNAS. This encourages us to keep up our monthly measurements of N2O in the Santa Barbara Channel (if we are ever allowed back at sea . . .).
