Research Area

Lauren graduated from UC Santa Barbara with degrees in Aquatic Biology and French in 2013. Since graduating, she has worked extensively with the Marine Science Institute performing oil platform surveys and participating in invasive species removal experiments at Catalina Island. Lauren has also been working intermittently with PISCO since 2013, conducting sub-tidal surveys of near-shore kelp forests in the Santa Barbara Channel. Lauren is also a Santa Barbara County Lifeguard, a youth educator for Hollister Ranch Tidepool School, and the Director of a non-profit Swim Program. Her interests include marine conservation, long distance running, swimming, and traveling the world.
