See highlights from the Casellle Lab monitoring of Marine Protected Areas in the Channel Islands using Baited Remote Underwater Video (BRUV).  BRUVs are an excellent, low cost tool for monitoring areas where SCUBA is precluded (areas too deep for divers) and where ROVs/AUVs are too expensive.  We have been using BRUVs around the world for over a decade and in California for more than 6 years.  Here is a recent paper on our work in California  https://www.int-res.com/prepress/m14743.html
