Biography
Jasen is a 4th year undergraduate studying biology in the College of Creative Studies. He joined the Mazer Lab in 2016 and is currently working with Ph.D. student Kristen Peach to investigate fitness consequences of floral pigment variation in Clarkia unguiculata, both from the perspectives of pollinator visitation and pollen protection. Jasen is also starting an independent project utilizing geometric morphometrics to evaluate patterns of fluctuating asymmetry in corolla form among species of Clarkia that differ with respect to mating system and floral morphology.
