Congatulations to PhD student, Devin Gamble, who was just awarded a Schmidt Family Foundation Research Mentorship Award (administered by EEMB) with undergraduate researcher, Josh Foster.  Devin and Josh will explore genetic variation in phenotypic plasticity and its fitness consequences in the California annual wildflower, Nemophila menziesii (Baby Blue Eyes, Boraginaceae) across much of its latitudinal range.  With the first major rainstorms now hitting Central and Northern California, we'll soon be planting tens of thousands of individual pedigreed seeds in their natural habitats.
