Research Area

Avrey has bachelor and masters degrees from UC Santa Barbara in Aquatic Ecology. He currently manages subtidal and intertidal field operations for the PISCO program and the MARINe program,   Avrey is a also CA Reefcheck instructor and serves as a liaison between PISCO and CA Reefcheck, a citizen science program. He lives in Santa Ynez with his wife and two children.
